The SurfStatsLive Reporting Service is based on the reporting engine of the
award-winning SurfStats Log Analyzer and was adapted to report real-time
website statistics from Microsofts IIS server log files and other log sources of
accessible web servers.
Easy remote browser-based set up of site profiles from virtual web servers
and virtual directories.
Ability to handle load-balanced web servers.
Remote browser-based report generation.
Scanning of existing web server log files to populate site profile databases
immediately after installation allowing end users to view reports on the
available data.
The Reporting Service can be branded with the logo of the host or a reseller or
an end user per site profile.
The Log file filter and merging service runs unobtrusively to parse the log file
and populates the site profile databases with filtered data. The time between
database updates (scan interval) can be set.
Site profiles can be defined down to sub-directory level.
Interactive report filtering on date ranges.
Support of three levels of users: Server Administrators, Profile Administrators
and SurfStatsLive users (also called end users) to accommodate reporting per
virtual directory, per virtual server.
Use of existing user information to validate server administrators through the
local Windows user SAM database or from a Windows 2000 domain.
No JavaScript required in web server pages to generate log information in web
server log files if log files is accessible.
SurfStatsLive may be set up as a Statistics Bureau.
Ability to track access to any kind of file (web pages, images etc.).
Ability to report on client and server errors.
Ability to easily reset a profile, initiating a rescan of log files for the specific
profile.
Ability to easily suspend a profile, prohibiting further population of the
suspended site profiles database.
Look up of page titles (from the HTML <TITLE> tags) by accessing the web
site and inspecting title tags.
Server Software Requirements
Microsoft® Windows® 2000/2003 Server. Windows 2000 must have at least
service pack 3. Latest service pack recommended.
Microsoft® Internet Information Server (IIS) and configured properly.
Latest version of Internet Explorer (IE) and installed on server.
