Accessing SurfStatsLive
How SurfStatsLive is accessed
SurfStatsLive is accessed through one of the IIS virtual web servers. During
installation either a new virtual web server has to be created or an existing virtual
web server has to be used.
Creating a web server
The Global Setup application scans the list of all IP addresses bound to adapters
of type LAN on the computer and present this list for the user installing to choose
from. In versions prior to V2.4.0.0 the IP address had to be provided by the user
installing SurfStatsLive. The SurfStatsLive Global Setup application will then try to
create and start a virtual web server in IIS on the port specified.
Using an existing web server
The Global Setup application can be used to configure SurfStatsLive to run on a
virtual directory of an existing virtual web server. It is however recommended to
create a new virtual web server for SurfStatsLive to run on.
