On the Profile Groups tab click Generate LiveStats
©
Export Script on the left. You would
need to specify where LiveStats
©
was installed and the filename of the script file that
SurfStatsLive will create. SurfStatsLive will create only one script file from all the
LiveStats
©
XML profile files. Note that this filename will be generated on the server, not
your local computer.
Click the link Load LiveStats
©
Details. It will take the data from all the LiveStats
©
XML
profile files, scan for the different LiveStats
©
collectors present in the LiveStats
©
profile files
and create a list of collectors, the path of the LiveStats
©
collector and what to replace it
with in the SurfStatsLive script file. The UNC names in the Replace with... column would
need to be edited if the log files should be collected from other computers. Specify it as
shown in the example on the page. You can also replace the machine name in the UNC
path with an IP address. Use UNC names and not mapped drives.
After this has been done click the Generate Script link. This will generate the script file to
be used by SurfStatsLive.
At this point if you know there are more than 100 site profiles you would need to obtain
activation code(s) for additional log source packs from SurfStats. Please provide the 8-
character machine ID to us for this (check Options - Registration - SurfStatsLive). After
receiving the activation code(s) register the SurfStatsLive installation (if not already
registered) and the log source packs from Options - Registration - SurfStatsLive.
Click the link Execute LiveStats
©
Script on the left and make sure the script file generated
in the previous steps is specified for Local Filename on Server. Click the Execute LiveStats
©
Script link.
